A data protection service consisting in transferring data between selected independent data centres included in the 3S Data Center Cluster.
The service is tailored to specific business requirements. It provides a simple and quick way to ensure the continuity of IT infrastructure operation, while the implementation itself does not require production system downtime.
Replication means mirroring the data and sending it to another location when it changes.
It should not be confused with a backup that allows you to return to the state of the files from a certain point in time.
It is an extension of the 3-2-1 to 3-2-1-0 rule, i.e. adding the Disaster Recovery element to the backup service.
3S Cloud Disaster Recovery is a service designed based on the Veeam Cloud Connect functionality.
The Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution can be tested according to a fixed schedule at regular intervals, including during working hours, without interrupting the production environment.
There are 2 basic service modes possible:
partial failover of selected servers,
full failover of the client’s environment to the 3S cloud.
The service is not limited by the distance of the user’s location from the 3S cloud, as the only requirement to start the service is to access the Internet at the user’s location.
The solution allows for the reduction of operating costs and costs of support for disaster recovery environments (comparing traditional solutions that operate e.g. at the level of matrix replication).
To use the service, you must have one of the Veeam packages, starting with v9:
if you do not have one of the above mentioned Veeam packages, its implementation will be part of the service.
The Veeam Cloud Connect functionality is available without the need to pay additional fees or obtain an additional license.
The security of the transferred data is ensured by encrypted transmission using the following technologies: SSL/TLS, AES-256 and changeable keys.
3S Data Center provides a secure enterprise-class environment for virtual servers without the need to implement separate, complex infrastructure and incur the costs associated with it.The service and backup environment is monitored 24/7/365 by the Network Operations Center (NOC).
immediate access to the replicated machine, without any downtime or need for restoration,
automation of verification of replicated resources
