The Secure Internet service is an asymmetrical, broadband fibre-optic connection with a bandwidth of up to 1 Gbps with additional security features that minimise the risks associated with using the public network.
The range of protections consists of:
- a firewall – protecting the local network against attacks from the outside,
- anti-spam – a mechanism to block unwanted mail in electronic mail,
- filter of unwanted content – allowing blocking access to potentially dangerous websites,
- anti-virus protection – reducing the risk of infection when browsing the web or when receiving an e-mail with a harmful attachment.
As part of the service, a device with the functionality of UTM [Unified Threat Management] is installed on an internal network with the Internet.
3S specialists are responsible for the appropriate selection and configuration of the device. After installation, a vulnerability scan is carried out to confirm the correct configuration and to determine the degree of network security.
Thanks to the use of a backup connection using GSM/LTE technology, continuous access to the Internet is ensured.
In addition, it is possible to carry out cyclic vulnerability scans, which allow for the monitoring of available resources, equipment and security policies. It is also possible to launch a dedicated transmission and make available IT resources of the organization located in one of the centres included in the 3S Data Center Cluster or to configure access to the organization’s internal network through a VPN connection.
In turn, a special function: TURBO!charging, allows for a fast but time-limited increase of the bandwidth to the maximum capacity of the port or to the maximum bandwidth of the terminal equipment without additional charges.
